Attachment Parenting ~ The essence of Attachment Parenting is about forming and nurturing strong connections between parents and their children. Attachment Parenting challenges us as parents to treat our children with kindness, respect and dignity, and to model in our interactions with them the way we'd like them to interact with others. In class we will explore the principles of Attachment Parenting.

Breastfeeding Education ~ Well Rounded Momma helps you learn how to get off to the best possible start in feeding and nurturing your baby! Understanding proper positioning, knowing that your baby is getting enough milk, handling common concerns, and breast pump basics are covered in this 2-3 hour class. Getting ready, solving problems, positioning, latch, taking care of yourself, and weaning are all covered along with much more!  These classes are open to all expecting moms (and their support people).
Cost:  $25 per couple 

Cloth Diapering~  Come and find out all of the "ins and outs" of cloth diapering. Join us and learn from an expert Momma, and decide if cloth diapering is the best option for your family. Are you confused with all the different styles and brands? There are so many different options and it can be confusing, but this workshop will help you sort it all out! How many do you need, how much will it cost? What about washing and drying? Whether you are expecting your first baby, or considering switching over your older baby or toddler to cloth - this workshop is for you!

Waterbirth Education ~ Interested in learning more about laboring and/or birthing in water? Come join us for an inspiring and fascinating evening of discussion and waterbirth videos. Learn the benefits of waterbirth, which hospitals and care providers offer waterbirth, and how to effectively use the water pool for optimal pain relief and relaxation.

Vaccine Education ~  This class provides information on vaccines, and the immunization policies and practices that affect the children and adults of Nevada. The goal of this class is to promote and protect the right of every person to make informed independent vaccination decisions for themselves and their families.
Cost: $25 per couple 

Fertility Awareness ~ Like the earth's surface, a woman of childbearing age moves through cycles of heating and cooling, which in turn create moistening and drying, which in turn provide a fertile environment for life to evolve. Rocks, glaciers, plants and animals (including humans) all evolve in concert with these processes. Just as a meterologist can observe and measure these cycles in the earth's surface to determine weather patterns, a woman can observe her daily waking temperature, cervical fluid and cervix changes to gauge her gynecological health, and to determine when she can and can't conceive. Charting these signals is called Fertility Awareness (FA).Charting requires about two to three minutes of daily attention. A woman can use her charts to determine whether or not she's ovulating, if she has progesterone deficiency or a possible thyroid imbalance, if she's pregnant, if she's miscarrying, and more. Used to prevent pregnancy, the method is virtually as effective as The Pill, if its rules are followed. And it's helped countless couples to conceive. VBAC Workshop ~ Well Rounded Momma offers a unique class that is designed for families who have experienced a previous cesarean birth but are now planning to have a vaginal birth. Couples clarify their previous birth experience(s) and are given the opportunity to discuss any unresolved feelings. Birth options and criteria for trial of labor and VBAC, including the risks and benefits, are discussed. Communication skills and coping techniques are reviewed. Included are exercises and positive visualizations. Also discussed are ways to prevent a cesarean, and options if a cesarean becomes necessary.
